Case Study: Abhishek Gupta, Life Coach

Abhishek started his company in April of 2020 with the goal of helping people improve their life. He focuses his coaching courses on life skills. These include behavioral and communication skills, interviewing skills, time management, stress management, and many other personal and professional enhancement skills.

He moved from India to the United States to start his business, which is 100% online. His classes are a combination of pre-recorded courses and zoom meetings, but mostly pre-recorded courses and webinars. 

His Life Coach Funnel

Most of his traffic comes from social media ads, such as Facebook. With increased demand for digital ads as more and more customers are competing online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Abhishek is seeing his ad costs slowly increase, which puts more pressure on businesses to maximize their conversions. 

Abhishek currently has two ways of converting leads into customers. The first is by sending Facebook ad traffic directly to a sales page where he uses social proof to boost his conversion rate. The second way is a multi-step funnel that includes sending traffic to an ebook (lead magnet), which is used to promote a $2 masterclass course (tripwire). At the end of that 1-hr online course, Abhishek promotes his automated webinar, which focuses on selling his full life coaching course. 

Instead of using expensive tools like ClickFunnels, Abhishek uses a combination of WordPress and iGloo to create his website, sales pages, and membership courses. He uses ActiveCampaign for his marketing automation and Zapier to make sure each application is connected with the rest. 

Abhishek added Evidence to his marketing funnel as a way to boost his conversions even more. Prior to adding Evidence, Abhishek saw a funnel conversion rate of about 1%, which he felt was a pretty good rate for his industry and target market. However, by adding social proof to build buyer trust and urgency, Abhshek was able to increase his conversion rate to 2%. That is a 100% boost to his conversion rate, simply by adding a simple widget to his marketing funnel.
