This article will walk you through how to Integrate Evidence by capturing events from Intercom to display as notifications on your site.
Step 1: Create a Webhook
In order to integrate with Evidence, Intercom needs a “Webhook URL” to send the data to. Follow this article to learn how to create a webhook URL within Evidence.
Step 2: Connect to Intercom
Log into Evidence, hover over your name and click Settings.
Click Developers.
Click Developer Hub.
Click Your apps.
Click New App.
- Name Your App
- Select the Workspace that you would like to trigger this webhook.
- Select Internal Integration
- Click Save.
Click Webhooks.
Paste the Evidence Webhook URL you created in Step 1.
Select the Topic that you want to trigger the webhook. I suggest using 'conversation.user.created'.
Click Save.
Inside Evidence, find your Intercom Source and click "Listen". Once a new conversation is started, Intercom will send a webhook to Evidence.
